DIY Cinnamon tea (helped my lungs)

This week I'm working on healing a sinus infection & bronchitis (with super congested, gunky sounding breathing). About two days into "the sickness," I noticed I was craving my cinnamon tea. I know the benefits of cinnamon but couldn't remember if it helped to thin mucus (everyone's favorite word eh!?). SURE ENOUGH multiple herbal sources name cinnamon as one of the herbs that help to thin and break up mucus. I can say that it definitely helped loosen things up in my lungs!

I made a large batch (1 liter) in the fridge for an easy cup of tea to heat up 2-3 times a day. After 1 or 2 days, I noticed "things" started thinning making it easier to clear my lungs. MOST interesting part, once my lungs started clearing and breathing was more comfortable, I realized the "craving" for cinnamon was gone.

The body is SO COOL, it knows what it needs! We just have to remember to listen to it.
Cheers!

**Addendum** I rinse my cinnamon sticks before using them

Steps:
1 1/2 c Water
1 stick Ceylon Cinnamon (flavor is a bit sweeter than others)
Bring to boil over medium-low heat (usually 15-20 min)
Once it boils, remove from heat and let rest for 15 min (color is slightly red when done)
Pour and enjoy!
If you would like Te De Canels tea, as a little squeeze of lime
