Your Faace! (insert "that" tone here)

This is actually a physiological truth called “facial feedback”. Facial feedback is a hypothesis confirmed (by Professor Fritz Strack, Leonard Martin & Sabine Stepper) to show that facial expression influences our emotional responses. It could be said then, that if you feel like people are always acting not so nice to you...challenge yourself to literally look in the mirror to learn what you may be contributing to the situation. Perhaps your resting face has an unhappy, irritated, or otherwise unwelcoming expression. According to Dr. Fritz and crew, this in turn puts you in a negative emotional state of being. Which lets face it, negative attitudes are tough to be around! 

So, potentially uncomfortable challenge... the next time you feel like you're living the lyrics of that classic old song: "how come everybody's always pickin on me?"...don't move anything above your shoulders, go to the closest mirror and see if maybe your face really is part of the problem!
