So many cool bits of information in this. Love that they mentions the relationship between the hips and the TMJ/your jaw...What!? You may say...before I get to that, if you want to have an instant exhale moment, place your finger pads gently under your cheek bones & press gently in and massage in a small circular motion, close your eyes and just breath for a few. Now...back to What??! Interestingly both sets of joints operate by way of a forward out-flaring motion, they are connected through your myofascial system (look up "Anatomy Trains" if you're the super curious type), and both translate and hold loads of gravitational force & tension. Your TMJ has the honor of being called the "trouble maker" of the body...Why? Try this and you'll recognize why...the next time you're frustrated/depressed/worried/excited...try expressing or experiencing those emotions with out moving or activating your jaw!
